When we get up in the morning, it’s pretty rare to spend the whole day wearing what we went to sleep in. We clean ourselves up, and then we get dressed. We put our clothes on.

Some occupations require a suit and tie. Others require a special uniform. People put on a variety of types of clothing before they head out for the day.

Regardless of what clothing you put on your body for the new day, what thoughts do you put on in your mind for the new day? Putting on your clothing can serve as an excellent reminder to put some healthy and productive thoughts into your head.

Many studies show that the thoughts you think about during the first half hour you are awake influence your life for the entire day. Few people realize this. Yet, it is true.

How many people as they wake up think, “Oh no, I have to get up and go to work!” That thought is a habit that they have developed. And so, they are setting their course and the tone for the day with negatives about their job. They also usually display that kind of attitude all day at work.

But, on the other hand, what happens when you wake up on the morning of the start of a long planned vacation? Would you ever think, “Oh no, I have to go on this vacation!” Well of course not!

A really big key to being successful in life is what you think when you first wake up. Since you have free will to think whatever thoughts you want to think, the first thoughts in the morning are like a set of directions you give to your own mind. You give your mind the course to follow.

You can choose to think thoughts that inspire success or failure; victory or defeat; confidence or fear; happiness or sadness. But, many people allow their thoughts to be determined by their circumstances and situations. In other words, if things in their life are going lousy, then they think lousy thoughts. They fail to recognize that they still have a choice as to what kind of thoughts they can think.

Some might argue that it is foolishness, or even mind games, to think positive, happy thoughts when their life is not going well. What they do not understand is that their mind will follow the directions that they give it, regardless of the present circumstances in their life.

The Bible certainly gives valuable instruction about thinking the right thoughts. But, I am not aware of any scriptures that talk about thinking positive, encouraging or uplifting thoughts only when things are going well. Quite the opposite exists; the instructions indicate to not think and dwell on negatives and defeat.

Does this mean we are to simply ignore all our problems and pretend that they don’t exist, and to live in a fantasy world in our minds? Of course it does not. Real problems and real issues need real solutions. However, we will not arrive at those real solutions by focusing on the problems. At best, we will just temporarily cover them up.

Regardless of where you have been in life’s journey, or where you are in that journey today, it is both possible and available for you to really enjoy happiness and success in every category of your life. The only limits you have are the limitations that you accept. You either accept them, or erase them by the thoughts you decide to think.

Start forming new habits of thinking as you get dressed every morning. As you put clothes on your body, remind yourself, at that moment, to put on good, healthy and productive thoughts. Tell yourself who you are and what you can do. “I am a child of God!” “I am more than a conqueror!” “I can do all things!” “God will help me!” “I am going to have a great day today!”

You really are in control of your own life. You have free will to think whatever thoughts you want to think. Just remember that the thoughts you consistently think will form your belief system, your core beliefs. And, our own core beliefs determine our own circumstances.

The technology and ingenuity already exists to reduce the threat of global warming. This includes solutions that will stimulate the American economy by creating jobs, saving consumers money, and protecting our national security.

By investing in renewable energy and energy efficiency, as well as increase the efficiency of the cars we drive, we can take important steps to reducing our dependence on oil and other fossil fuels that are contributing to the threat of global warming.

By using energy more efficiently and using more renewable energy sources, such as wind, solar, geothermal, and bio-energy, we would significantly reduce our emissions of heat-trapping gases, like carbon dioxide (CO2,) methane, and nitrous oxide.

The United States currently produces 70% of its electricity from fossil fuels like coal, natural gas, and oil, but only 2% from renewable sources. Since the burning of fossil fuels releases large amounts of CO2, which is the leading cause of global warming, into the atmosphere, increasing the share of electricity generated from renewable resources would be one of the most effective ways to reduce global warming emissions.

Another effective way to reduce global warming emissions would be to reduce the emissions from cars and trucks, since they produce 25% of U.S. carbon dioxide emissions. A sensible and realistic way of reducing emissions from cars and trucks would be to create better cars, minivans, and bigger cars. They would be just as powerful and safe as the ones currently on the road, but they would get 40 miles per gallon or more.

By having better transmissions and engines, more aerodynamic designs, and stronger yet lighter material for the vehicle’s body, these vehicles would increase the average fuel economy of the current automotive fleet from 24 to 40 miles per gallon over 10 years. This would be the equivalent of taking 44 million cars off the road, which not only would save individual drivers thousands of dollars in fuel costs over the life of the vehicle, but also would reduce the CO2 emissions into our atmosphere.

More than 50% of America’s electricity is still being produced from outdated, coal-burning power plants that dump pollutants and heat-trapping gases into our atmosphere. Power plants account for one-third of the U.S. total of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere.

By increasing our use of clean renewable energy, investing in energy efficiency, and reducing pollution from fossil fuel plants, consumers will save money, heat-trapping emissions will be reduced, and the U.S. would have less need for new coal and gas power plants.

A study conducted by the Union of Concerned Scientists has found that we could reduce our power plant CO2 emissions by 60% compared with government forecasts for 2020. This would result in a $440 billion savings for consumers, which translates to $350 annually per family by 2020.

Another good solution against global warming is using more major appliances that comply with new or updated standards. Clothes washers, dishwashers, water heaters, furnaces, and boilers all comply with these standards. In 2006, new standards for air conditioners took effect that increased efficiency by 23% over the old standard. This will result in less need for medium-sized power plants in the future. Further progress and gains can be made when it comes to commercial equipment like refrigerators, heaters, furnaces, and public lighting.

Another way to reduce CO2 emissions into our atmosphere is by protecting threatened forests, which store carbon, the base of CO2. When these forests are cut down and/or burned, the trees release their carbon, which raises the level of CO2 in our atmosphere. In fact, tropical deforestation accounts for 20% of all human-caused CO2 emissions each year.

Finally, we can help to reduce CO2 emissions by supporting American ingenuity. The U.S. Government has made some progress in reducing CO2 emissions by developing renewable energy sources and improving energy efficiency. Federal research dollars have driven technological advances in fuel cells, which runs engines on hydrogen fuel and emits only water vapour.

However, the US Government can do more to contribute to global warming solutions; while investing roughly $1.4 billion in fossil fuel research and nuclear research in 2001, it only invested $376 million for all renewable energy technologies combined. More vehicle research needs to be conducted on hybrid and fuel cell cars, renewable ethanol fuel, and the cleanest forms of hydrogen production.

As you can see, there are many solutions that can be undertaken, both by the government and by the consumer, in order to reduce the threat of global warming. Steps should be taken as quickly as possible to avert the most damage; the longer we wait to take action, the more damage that will occur from our CO2 emissions and the less effect our CO2-reducing efforts will have in protecting our world from global warming.

Okay, so you are a teenager and you want to make some money for change and you don’t want to work at McDonalds for eight dollars an hour.

No problem, because I am going to show you some quick cash methods without resorting to a job such as mowing the neighborhoods lawn or babysitting (because that is hard work right? Ha ha)

An easy way for teens to make money is to teach old people how to use the computer.

What you do is you print out a simple flyer such as “How to use your computer to surf the Internet and watch video. Personal tutor only $10 an hour!”

Print out the ad, and then go to the area of your town where old people live, such as the community retirement home center or at the laundry mat and those poster ads everywhere. Another good place to advertise is the grocery store.

Sit back and wait for phone calls. The reason being, old people have plenty of free time (and money) and they don’t really know how to use computers — so it is your chance to help them and make money going at it.

A few words of caution though. I recommend you post your cell phone number on the flyer because you don’t want to give your home phone number to strangers.

Another thing is to talk to the person on the phone somewhere in a public place such as a coffee shop. Do you feel safe talking to the person? If not, don’t teach them.

Another thing is that you don’t have to come over to their house to teach them how to use the computer. You can tutor the person in at a public library.

Now a days the criminal element is always out there looking for someone, to try steal one’s identity. These very criminals want credit card information so they can run up the charges then leave you holding the bags with nothing to show for it. The most common way for criminals to get credit card information is through email phishing, which involves a fake email that appears to be sent from your credit card company. Normally, this fake email states that there was an error with your account, or that it was accessed by unauthorized personnel and needs your attention.

Spotting fake emails isn’t hard to do - as long as you know what to look for. The most obvious hint for most, is the fact that they don’t even have a credit card from the company that has sent the email. For others, the link is what gives the fake email away. Anytime you get an email from a credit card that you believe to be fake, you should always hover your mouse over the link, then “right click” the link with the mouse and select “view source”. If the link is indeed fake, the website address that comes up will be something other than that of a credit card company.

Do you like it stronger? Amber color, top fermented and the finest taste. It has a sweet touch and will tickle the top of your tongue with its balanced tastes. Don’t exaggerate with this one at 8% it’s a pretty strong beer.

A new star is born. We tried it a few days ago and we think these two new beers are absolutely great - superlatives all around! We were told that for this series they found inspiration in Champagne. And that’s what this beer is for. It’s made to fit with the most exquisite meals and finest taste. It also comes in a very nice sparkling wine bottle. Very inviting indeed!

There is a Café with a terrace next to the Brewery. Great place to try all the different Koninck Beers - since this is the only beer it serves.

This food here is overpriced for what they offer. I would expect those or lower prices in the old town but here i think it’s just a bit strange. It’s ok to dine here if it’s warm enough on the terrace. Otherwise expect to have cigar and cigarette smoke blown in your face during you meal.

Sampling all Belgian beers is easier said than done - I have been working on it for several years now. I am afraid I lost track of which ones i tried already. I guess I’ll have to start again - this time maybe I’ll approach the challenge alphabetically Although they keep confusing it all with christmas beers and special editions.

Belgium contains thousands of cafés that offer a wide selection of beers, ranging from 10 in a small local café, to over 1000 in a specialist beer café. Top beers evolve in cellars - they become better and better with age. That is if you if you like aged beer of course (you can try aged beer in the Kulminator).

Rated as the best beer bar in the world, its beer selection is simply incredible. A real Beer Mecca. Specialized in old beer, you’ll find all the famous Belgium top beers from different years. Some of them older then 20 years!
Don’t come here if you want Heineken. They don’t have it! Come here if you adore good beer, classical music and no nonsense beer.

Keep the coupons - If you drink enough beer you get to keep a beer glass of your choice.

A word of warning though - there is no atmosphere and better leave your contact lenses at home. The bar is something from the 70’s and when busy it fills to the brim with cigarette smoke.

One of the best beer-bars in The City frequently visited by the locals! You have about 100 beers to choose from (Hundred of bottles of beer on the wall, one hundred bottles of beer….”) Every choice is good. Do you want a Belgian-beer; Duvel, Trappist, Old Geueze or something you never heard of before? You’ll find it here.

Oh yes, also an amazing view on the Cathedral… and it gets better with every beer. Actually you can be literarlly leaning on the Cathedral Of Our Lady while you sip your Belgian-beer. The bar gets very crowded and there are always 3 - 4 tables standing right next to the cathedral.

Great place - the only time we choose against it is when there is no where to sit … or stand!

Go here for excellent beer and nice finger food. They also have a good house draft that you’ll only find here.

The ceiling of this is crowded with diverse beer mugs - fun to look at and wonder how long it would take to empty one of those. There are also tables outside in the cozy courtyard - It’s a pleasure to have a beer here.

Even though there is no sea sight here, I always feel on holiday when I come to this beer-bar. Very often during the weekend there is life music.

An excellent Belgian-beer selection and nice finger food.

This bar is very popular with the locals.

The area is deserted in the afternoon, but in the evening all the bars on the square come awake and people begin to flow in. Above the big square hangs a net with many small unevenly spread lights - they look like stars! No cars and with all the candles and music this can indeed be a very romantic spot. Not to mention they have and they have Chouffe on Tap!
